The Melville area, west of Johannesburg, is a fabulously eclectic suburb and presents an energy celebrated by many Joburger's and travellers. It has an abundance of interesting shops, characteristic architecture and friendly people. The diverse nature of Melville presents itself in the people as well as in the many quirky shops, bistros, restaurants and clubs. Melville affords its visitors with the artistic temperament of Johannesburg, a side not often seen by those restricted to the northern suburbs close to Sandton.

This colourful neighbourhood offers a great variety of shopping malls and unique destination boutiques, restaurants, and music bars. If you're wanting to keep up with what's trending then Melville is the place to visit. 7th avenue, safe walking distance from Melville Manor, is a vibrant street lined with stores and restaurants.
